Billy Eisenberg
Philly Tutors Founder and Owner
Billy Eisenberg is an experienced middle and high school teacher, who is dedicated to providing one-on-one assistance to students of all ages in a wide range of subject areas. Before beginning his career in education through the Teach Philadelphia Program, Billy earned his undergraduate degree in American Studies at Lafayette College and earned his Secondary Education Certification at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
Billy has taught grades 6th-11th at Barratt Middle School, Freire Charter School, Mathematics Civics and Sciences Charter School, Gesu Catholic School and also substituted at Friends’ Central School. Since 2002, Billy has been a private tutor for middle and high school students.
He most recently worked as the Director of Education and Teen Services at North Light Community Center in the Manayunk neighborhood of Northwest Philadelphia.

Karen M. Smith
Marketing Consultant
After a long career in commercial printing, first as a graphic artist and then as an art director, Karen began consulting while a stay-at-home mother in 1992. Since then she has produced a considerable volume and variety of printed works including brochures, newsletters, magazine ads, corporate logos, banners, and brochures.
With the growth of the internet, Karen branched out to provide website development and maintenance, email marketing, and social media consulting. She also made her foray into event planning, helping North Light Community Center raise over $574,000 at the golf outing during its eleven year run.
Karen is also an avid photographer and gourmet cook.
