BILLY EISENBERG, Philly Tutors Founder Billy Eisenberg, founder of Philly Tutors, is an experienced middle and high school teacher, who is dedicated to providing one-on-one assistance to students of all ages in a wide range of subject areas. Before beginning his career in education through the Teach Philadelphia Program, Billy earned his undergraduate degree in American Studies at Lafayette College and earned his Secondary Education Certification at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. Billy has taught grades 6th-11th at Barratt Middle School, Freire Charter School, Mathematics Civics and Sciences Charter School, Gesu Catholic School and also substitutes at Friends' Central School. From 2002-2005, while full-time teaching, Billy has been a private tutor for middle and high school students and has provided out-of-school youth with GED test preparation. In addition to his academic teaching, Billy also teaches tennis to youth and adults. He is also a member of the tutoring team at North Light Community Center. |
